Travel Information

Arriving

We recommend flying into Toulouse, which is just under an hour from the venue via car. You can also take the train from Toulouse City Center to Bram or Carcassonne, which takes a little over an hour.

Events will start Thursday evening, April 30th, so you can plan travel accordingly.

For guests staying on property, you can arrive either Wednesday April 29th or Thursday April 30th.

Taking a taxi from the Toulouse airport to the area is relatively easy—most accept card payment and apple pay, charging about €100.

If you chose to use only public transit, you’ll need to take a bus from the Toulouse airport to Toulouse City Center, then train from Toulouse to Bram or Carcassonne, depending on where you’re staying.

After taking the bus this past summer, I might recommend taking a taxi into Toulouse then train to where you’re staying—or taxi directly to your accommodation. The bus from the airport to city was fine could feel complicated depending on your level of comfort with public transit. We navigated it well using google maps from the airport.

Getting Around

Shuttle services will be available to guests in and around the Montréal and Bram areas for all wedding events.

Our venue will also provide a list of taxis and drivers- available if you’d come and go at different times or if you’re staying farther away. Ride share apps should work well in towns of Toulouse, Bram and Carcassonne. The farther you get from the train line, there may be less predictability. This means coming to the venue from town should never be an issue—but if past shuttle availability, you may need to use the list of drivers and taxis to leave the venue.

If you chose to rent a car, there is parking available on property.

We will also be using this google maps guide as an way to share key locations and recommendations pertinent to the weekend.

About the Area

All events will take place at our venue, La Belle Eco.

La Belle Eco is a restored country home on the outskirts of the Pyrenees, now owned and operated by a couple who host a variety of events, retreats and artist residencies with a focus on farm to table food and sustainability.

La Belle sits between three areas—the towns of Bram and Montréal are both less than 10 minutes from the venue, most easily accessible. Carcassonne is 25-30 minutes away, one stop south of Bram on the train from Toulouse.

Montréal is just up the hill from the venue—a tiny, picturesque town with a quaint feel. Montréal only has one mini-mart and a few food options, none open very late. Good for guests who prefer quieter stays or plan on spending a lot of their time on property.

Bram is a small 12th century town located directly on the train line, making travel both from Toulouse and to Carcassonne very easy. Bram has more of options when it comes to food—cafes, restaurants and small grocers—while not on property. Good for guests who want to use public transit to explore while also being close to the venue.

Carcassonne is a is a beautiful town with a medieval fortress at its center (on painting pictured above!)—popular for good reason among tourists. This is a good option for guests who want their focus to be quick access to explore the area’s more popular sights over proximity to venue. Remember—if you’re staying in Bram, Carcassonne is just one train stop away. We will not be able to have a shuttle picking up here but will provide options of available taxis or drivers for guests to call.
